A man has been charged with attacking Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale following Sunday’s game against Tottenham.
He is accused of assault by beating, hurling an object at a football pitch, and entering a nearby area, according to the Met Police.
On February 17, this case is set to go to trial at Highbury Magistrates’ Court. Joseph Watts, 35, of Hackney, is expected to show up.
Without a doubt, Ramsdale contributed significantly to Arsenal’s 2-0 triumph in the north London derby.
Tottenham, the team that hosted the game on Sunday, has helped the Met’s football investigations squad with their inquiry.
The incident has been denounced by the Football Association and several professional footballers’ associations. Tottenham, on the other hand, has threatened the fan with “an instant ban.”
